Is oversimplifying the problem? Looking at the screen shot shows the line segment in question highlighted in blue. This isn't a simple question of a tight corner. It is the whole line segment is unreachable without, as the error says, gouging the part. From the screen grab, the line segment before looks unreachable too. (assuming left to right movement) To do this properly, EMC would need to preprocess a lot more than the next line segment to get this correct.
