Good grief! I'd thought everyone had forgotten about thyratons. I have a motor that looks amazingly like the Monarch motor. 3hp, 4:1 motor and gear box painted green. Picked it up at Boeing surplus years ago. Nice and quiet, etc. Massive sort of thing.
