For those who may not know the speaker (are there such?), the
talk below is definitely worth attending! Luc Steels is an
international authority on computer models of the evolution of
language, and the work done in his AI-lab is very inspiring. The
subject of his talk, the self-organization of language and meaning,
also fits in directly with our core ECCO themes...

We nodigen u graag uit op de 12de DITO-bijeenkomst die zal doorgaan op
donderdag 25 november 2004 van 10.00-12.00 in gebouw D (VUB - campus Etterbeek), lokaal D 2.01 (promotiezaal).
Prof. dr. Luc steels (Directeur van het Artificieel Intelligentie Lab van de Vrije Universiteit Brussel)
zal een presentatie houden gevolgd door een debat over
"De zelforganisatie van taal en betekenis"
waarbij hij een overzicht zal geven van het reeds 8 jaar lopende onderzoeksprogramma over de oorsprong en evolutie van taal.
