I finally bought a security camera from a security company - along with 400 feet of co-ax cable and the same of extension cord. Had mare on TV in my bedroom. Then all I had to do was set the alarm for every few hours to check on her. I still could have missed it though, if we had not noticed that she "waxed up" about 6 hours before foaling.
