The two considerations I would have are: 1. what resolution can the laptop show (how big is the screen)? 2. how much memory does it "steal" from the cpu?
The resolution is important to me because it dictates how much display I can get on the panadapter. If you are running 192k (for instance) and want to see a lot of it in anything other than 0.5x mode, you need some visual landscape. The memory thing is obvious, if you have a GB of memory but the video card needs 512M, then you lost half of your memory. I would bet you are okay with the config, but the two questions above are some I would want to know before going that route!
