Whatever the legalities, one standard license for the official 
"FlightGear" distributed stuff is a pretty sensible idea, otherwise it 
gets real confusing (speaking as somebody who knows this from experience).

Perhaps though it's time for somebody to make a repository for aircraft 
3rd party aircraft outside of CVS.  Integrate it (and CVS) with FGRun 
perhaps so that people can see all aircraft available and FGRun 
downloads and installs the one they want on the fly.

Would make picking the distribution easier too if people could so easily 
see what's available.

I could probably come up with the web/server api side of stuff if people 
were interested in such an idea, but tooo long since I've done C/C++ so 
integrating with FGRun out of my league.
