Just tried a mock-up. Salvaged mouth blow valves from inflatable vynil
ducks, rings and the like (toys for kids), left a patch as large as a CD
aroud the valve. Drew a sponson tapered in the ends to fold along centerline
and glue on borders (on glue line only, or weld, better. Welding here costs
1.5 usd per metre) Then put a hole thorugh pvc fabric from inside prior to
glueing  to make the valve stick out. glued with pvc glue (henkel's
transparent diluted with acetone. Backed with another larger vynil patch to
improve air tightness along border of patch 1.
Fold and weld outside seam.
What I miss is where to get those neat tube+ mouth valve seen on commercial
sponsons.
