Ah, I see what /etc/alternatives is. I've never been aware of that! I know this is off topic, but what provides the /usr/lib/jvm/.*.jinfo file? I think I can build my own, but that doesn't seem like it's something a user should do. Surely there exists one each for all standard Sun Java packages.
