[Freevo-users] performance issue

I have been using the CVS version of freevo and it seems very slow, on 
the order of 5 seconds when I hit remote buttons like down or up.  Once 
the movie/music is playing all is fine.  Is there anything that I can do 
to speed things up??  Is there a way to compile the python into 
something that will be a bit faster prior to running?
