In the R65 "Cluster XL Administration Guide", chapter 7, there's a section on "Defining Disconnected Interfaces". You might want to check the manual appropriate for your firmware version. One method of dealing with a spare/down interface is the "discntd.if" files others have mentioned. The other method is to assign the spare/down interface IP addresses (use dummy addresses if it doesn't have any configured addresses) then define it in the cluster object as a "Non-Monitored Private" interface. Then "cphaprob -a if" will show the interface as "Disconnected" rather than "DOWN". Cleaner than the file method I think. -Larry Scanned by Check Point Total Security Gateway. ================================================= To set vacation, Out-Of-Office, or away messages, send an email to lists...@amadeus.us.checkpoint.com in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email fw-1-ow...@ts.checkpoint.com =================================================
