That is indeed funny. One would assume you had played some of these classic games like Donkey Kong 64 or something along those lines prier to writing this game. Never-the-less it goes to show what we can come up with independently when motivated to do so. Q9 isn't exactly like the classic Nintendo games, but close enough to bring back memories of them for me. So much so you have me eager to write my own all out arcade side-scroller. Lol!
