I asked on pulseaudio-discuss and they could help me: It is a bug in Phonon 4.4.1 and the two patches mentioned in the post by Colin Guthrie [1] solve the problem for me. I also filed a bug report in Gentoo about this issue [2]. Finally KDE + PulseAudio rock! Despite the huge amount of criticism of PulseAudio on this list it really works good for me and I am quite happy :) btw: KDE PulseAudio-integration is also becoming better from a usability standpoint in the future: [3] Regards, Fabian [1] https://tango.0pointer.de/pipermail/pulseaudio-discuss/2010- May/007263.html [2] https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=321155 [3] http://colin.guthr.ie/tag/kde/
