Uh? If it's so easy to read how to unsubscribe, why so many people periodically beg for help to unsubscribe, or send useless "unsubscribe" messages to mailing lists? And yes, it's not so strange that to be accepted as part of a group you may be asked to demonstrate that you know what the rules are. It happens all the time in fact.
