Yes it does
/usr/libexec/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.4.4/cc1: error while loading shared

you upgraded your mpfr. Now you have to rebuild your gcc as well.
It won't compile mpfr either. I get the same error. It appears that I
can't compile ANYTHING right now. This ain't good. O_O
Would doing this from a CD work or would I get the same error?
I'm going to look for a binary. It's been a while so I'm not sure what
was left on there. :/
