definition 5 revisions later than -r8, and to the best of my knowledge has
no show-stopping bugs (at least, none on my systems -- touch wood!), IMHO
-r13 shouldn't be removed. Just remove the intermediate revisions.

That's why I put in the words "not on my system" ;-)

In fact, my VMs (on XenServer) happily chugs along using a
gcc-4.5.3-r1-compiled kernel. With USE="graphite" and some other -f options
set in CFLAGS (something related to math=fast and something about loops).

breakages (e.g., packages hard-coded to expect exactly /^2\.6/), I'm still
not comfortable enough using 3.x. Maybe later in December.

Luckily I have been periodically backing-up distfiles and portage-latest, so
I can do a personal overlay. :-)
