Are you approaching this from the wrong angle? systemd is not installed as a default. Unless you have asked for it, by selecting a systemd make.profile, or specifying it as you had in your package.use, it should not pop in. I some Gnome package must have it then you'll spot this as soon as you try to emerge it. Therefore I am not sure that you need to do anything else. You can have it within your make.conf, as it won't hurt, but I don't think it is necessary. -- Regards, Mick
