One other thing. I did not ask about checks that needed two signatures. I have never used these in an organization.
I rely on the treasurer keeping accurate books and having them reviewed/audited every once in a while by other parties, including the president. Alan Fedder has been LI's treasurer for thirteen years, and I trust the man implicitly. I also have to do the Income tax return for the organization every year, so I know why and for what amount each and every check was written.
