Actually I should clarify.

Microsoft sponsoring it would not deter me from going.  I am fairly
impervious to any propaganda they might throw at me, and would only take
away useful information.  Probably you are in the same mindset.

In fact, I would encourage people to go and to take along as much FOSS
stuff as you can.  I am not above Microsoft and O'Reilly funding
meetings like this to help us get the truth about FOSS out to people.
