I thinking having the install and quickstart guides in a wiki format would be extremely helpful. The globus user community seems well suited to help maintain this documentation. These guides are very helpful, and allowing them to be updated might help to improve them further.
Also, perhaps an additional community wiki page could be created for trouble shooting common issues. There seems to be some "top 10" things users encounter frequently, and this might help save them a considerable amount of debug / research time.
