Since I never had much of a budget, I made my own signage by computer, then
laminating.
I use Elazar, so over each adult non-fiction section (10 of them), I created
large signs following Elazar's broad categories, like TORAH & TANACH, HALACHA &
JEWISH THOUGHT, CULTURE, HISTORY, etc.
Then, to aid browsing in the adult and kids sections, I created dozens and
dozens of small shelf signs pointing to areas of special interest, like 799.8
Biography, Israel or 244.29 Pesach Haggadot or 173 Maimonides.

I have been looking at pinterest also. I would love hearing what others have
to say. Shelf signs that sit under the books are so easy to miss so we are
looking at a color scheme also.
There are a few online stores you can check also: Demco, The Library Store,
Brodart...which I haven't visited lately.
