I looked at it briefly last night... enough to put some doubt into my previous statement. All I had was a crappy capture from cable, so I'll try it with a higher-quality source and verify. It appears you may be right and I never noticed. I guess I'm not that discerning!

Actually, I've always noticed a softness associated with the PVR-250 captures. The quality has *always* looked better watching cable right from the TV, rather than captured via the mythbox. Changing capture resolution, bitrate, DNR settings, etc, etc doesn't help. Bottom line is the PVR-250 captures at most about 300-350 lines of resolution is all.
