OK, I tried this and got the output which I've attached to this email. I noticed that the page you sent a link to is for America and am wondering if the frequencies are maybe different here in Australia?
I am not sure what version of the driver is installed when I use the ATRPM's as described in Jarod's guide. How do I tell? Consult http://www.jneuhaus.com/fccindex/cablech.html with the channel you want to tune - grab the frquency from standard or hrc column (hrc for me), mulitply it by 16, and use ivtvctl -r #### (the resulting frequency x 16) to set the tuner... Then "mplayer /dev/video0" to test it out. After I had everything set, mplayer played the stream just perfect, with sound and everything - using 0.3.7b driver, although I did have have to upgrade mythtv to the CVS version or it would freeze after a couple of seconds into playing... this was my commmand line... # ivtvctl -r NNNN; DISPLAY=":0.0" mplayer /dev/video0 On Thursday 04 August 2005 06:58 pm, Marty Ravell wrote: > I'm setting up a MythTV box (FC3, Jarod's Guide, PVR-350 etc) and although > I have TV-out working very nicely (lovely crisp picture) I cannot seem to > get the tuner to work.
