Hi Mark,

My problem is that I really don't know much about this stuff so I don't know
what to include in the post to this list.

The system is built using the ATRPM's as described in Jarod's Guide for
MythTV. (http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/fcmyth.php) I have not tried building
drivers or anything more complicated than what the guide advises.

The machine is an Intel board with a P4 running Fedora Core 3. I have the RF
out of my Foxtel cable-box hooked up to the RF in of the PVR-350. I am
pretty sure that this signal includes all of the standard free-to-air
channels as well as an extra which carries the currently selected cable
channel.

I just took a look at dmesg and am attaching it to this email (I removed
various unrelated lines from this in order to get small enough to post).
I've also put in the modprobe.conf if this helps.

When I go to the 'Watch TV' option in the Myth menu I just get static.
Perhaps the issue is in that the tuner is not tuning into a station?

Is there a test I can run from the command line? I've tried the suggestions
in Jarod's guide to create an mpg file and play it back but again I just get
static.

Are there any other files I should be looking at / posting to this list?

Regards
Marty

Hi Marty,
You could start by giving some info on your system. What drivers
have you attempted to load. What actually got loaded. What is dmesg
telling you about the hardware when ivtv is loading.

These sorts of things will help.

cheers,
Mark
