About the hardware issues, I've never had them with the box using that PCI slot
for a WinTV PVR 250. Tested the PVR 500mce card in another shuttle as well
(amd64 with nforce3 chipset) and it was rocksolid.

It's a tough cookie and the GAF is dropping rapidly :-|
