Hi,

I will try to help here, for the message to open, you need to tab to the
message list which doesn't come up by default.
Keep tabbing and you should hear inbox and then tab again to the messages.
Regarding closing the message, you need to go to tools, options and the reading
and display tab, you need to set the message to open in an existing window I
think, there are three button options, it is normally on the first one and it
is the third one that you want, you then open the message and press escape to
close it.
Let me know if you can't find it and I will try to drill down the steps a bit
further.

Thanks, I just installed thunderbird and configure my email id. Few things
which I want you to assist me on ?

1. Messages are in disending order, means the latest message is showing in the
end of the list. I want latest message is to appear on the top of the list.
2. 2. When I enter on message it wont open that particular email, I want to
know how to open message and how to close it because when I press alt+f4 it
closes thunderbird.
3. 3. How I can arrange messages in conversation mode ?
4. 4. It would be appreciate if you could provide me keystrokes for reply,
reply all, forward messages ?
Best,

Hi, you can do the same thing with the full install. c:\users\user name\app
data\local\thunderbird an \app data \roaming\thunderbird. Just copy these
folders from time to time and they are your TB backup. This has save me
multiple times. :) Everything is in these two folders.
settings, messages and well everything. :) Just copy them back to the app data
folder reinstall TB and it is as if it never was uninstalled.
