I Had some issues with the password box not appearing as well when it was
required, I had to find it by using insert plus f10 I think with JAWS to show
the open windows then press return on the security one.

Hi Mike B, David and Gerald,

Thank you very much for replying to my Outlook problem and the program
asking for a password.

To follow up, after sending my e-mail to the group, I was unable to send, or
receive e-mails for a day and a half. I called Verizon/AOL and after a
couple of hours with them, they told me that I had to set a new password.
And yes, I must have had a password when I originally signed up, but I must
have forgotten it. The tech at AOL checked and unchecked a few items, and
my e-mails are coming pretty quickly now. Getting my e-mails now is not as
sluggish as before. Let's see tomorrow if I received the usual amount of
e-mails as I did before this problem started.

Again, Many thanks to all of you who replied to me regarding this problem.
It was GREATLY appreciated. Keep up the GREAT work.

Al Sorrentino

Hi Al,

It sounds like your email client is asking you to insert your password as if

your email provider has forgotten it or something. Are you saying that you
never had a password, or you haven't entered it when getting this message?
If you don't know your password a new one will need to be created from the
sounds of things. Sometimes in Outlook Express the Protected Storage
component gets corrupted, and I get the same message, but reinstalling OE6
repairs it, then entering my password makes everything right again. Try
entering your password to see if that helps, if you have it.

Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Problem with receiving e-mails and password

Hi Everyone,

I have JAWS 13, Windows 7 and Outlook 2010

In the past couple of weeks, I have been having problems receiving e-mails.
Usually I would receive from 150 to 200 e-mails a day. Now I am lucky if I
receive 100 e-mails a day. This problem must have started a few weeks ago.
In the past, as soon as I would turn on my computer all my new e-mails would
instantly appear and now it takes quite a long time for them to appear. I
have sent myself test e-mails to see, but even if I press F-9, my new
e-mails will not appear quickly as they did in the past.

Around the same time of this problem happening, when ever I was in my
Outlook screen either preparing an e-mail, or reading my e-mails, I would
get a pop up saying something to the effect of Internetproviders name and it
would ask me to enter my password which I never had. As soon as I would
press Escape it would take me back to my document. Before, it may have
happened once a day, but today it is happening every minute or so. It is
quite annoying. I am sure that these two problems are somehow connected.

For a very long time I had Verizon as my provider and for some reason
Verizon purchased AOL and they are running the e-mails.

Any help will be greatly appreciated on how I can alleviate these problems.
