In the list numbering style your lines are indented. If you want to write something that lines up with the text above but doesn't add a number in the list use Shift key with enter at the end of the numbered line. However, this keeps you in the same style so when you press enter again the numbering and indentation continues. Switching to normal style is a fast way to stop the numbering but remember lines are no longer indented automatically when using the normal style. Take care.
