Hi Adhamh,
I am looking into the issues with Java 8, but I'm also swamped with
other things right now. I'll have an answer for how to deal with Java 8
support by the end of the month.
JiBX is not being actively maintained, but I do provide paid support for
clients at a discounted rate. In this case I have a client who is
interested in the Java 8 support. If I implement it for them the fix
will be publicly released for everyone, of course.
Thanks,
- Dennis

Hello,
I'm seeing the same problem as report by Gottfried Theimer. My code
that uses JiBX is failing to compile under Java 8 due to
java.lang.CharSequence errors.
I found this post back from 2005 about kXML. It mentions an
incompatibility with JiBX and CharSequence. I'm not sure if its
related or not, but it seems like an omnious sign...

Are there any plans to get JiBX to be compatible with Java 8, or
should JiBX be considered end of life'd and we need to move to a
different technology?
Thanks,
Adhamh
