Do I (a) go see him talk, because he's been such an influential person in the Free Software (and even Open Source) movement, or (b) stay in my office and work because I think RMS has become too much of an impractical and ineffectual extremist?

You know, we need the extremists, too.

The extremists make the less extreme stuff look more acceptable. If we didn't have RMS, then the "open source" people would be the extremists.

In addition, *how* do you be more effectual about free software than he is? His message is all the more relevant with all the lockdown features floating around Vista.
