Hi Jean I'm sure you will manage it OK. Lots of other people do.
One thing I have found from experience (of professionally inserted needles) is that if the swabbed area is still damp when the needle goes in it stings a lot more than if a couple of seconds have been left to allow the skin to dry, so take your time doing it!
