I have watched this thimble for a couple of weeks... it didn't sell during its first "outing", and is reposted (IF I remember correctly...). At any rate, I think its claim to lacemaking is tenuous at best... Except for the specialty thimble which has been recently discussed on this list (thimble with a pusher attached...), I haven't really been aware of a need for a thimble exclusive to lacemaking. And when I did have a need (inadequately pricked pricking which means I should have used a larger needle...) I used the (also previously mentioned...) "Thimble-its" which saved the day. I learned my lesson, and now no longer need a thimble.
I think the seller may be banking on the term "lacemaking". Clay ----- Original Message ----- From: "L. E.
