Hi Sherry,

I deleted all the files and subdirectories from the C:\Windows\Temp folder and deleted the grid.usr file again. I restarted windows and retried it and again get runtime error 6. I tried it with smaller files and it is OK. I tried it with my main file from 2 year old archive, (after upgrading the file to v build 118 and again get runtime error 6.

Thank you for the suggestion anyway.

I did a little digging around.... Error 6 is an overflow error.

Delete all the files from the C:\Windows\Temp folder and delete the grid.usr
file again. Next run File > File Maintenance > Check/Repair twice. Let me
know if that helps.

Thanks for using Legacy.

Hi Sherry,

Deleting grid.usr did almost nothing for me. Waiting to see what comes of
Glenna's new problem. For myself I can get the report using Access2000 so it
is not a great concern to me.

There is no limit to the number of individuals you can have in the Family
File. Access does have a limit to a database size, however. We recommend
that you don't go over 1 GB because if the file gets too big you could
start
seeing some strange errors. There are some users out there with a larger
file size...

Unfortunately the largest file I have has just over 13,000 individuals.

I see that one of the testers recommended deleting the grid.usr file. If
that doesn't help, please contact Support directly and we'll work with you
on it to see what's going on.

Thanks for using Legacy.
