What about using systemd to bring up the network interfaces?

There was already a discussion about this topic before:

The systemd version wouldn't need the LFS-Network-Scripts anymore.
The main book could use both the scripts (if booted by Sysvinit) and
.link and .network files (if booted by systemd).
