A couple of weeks ago I released epic5-0.0.8 which is a stable alpha release that lacks a few features but nothing earth-shattering, on the threat that if epic5 is going to go moribund, I'd better do an official release on it and see if people will bite on it.
Unless someone objects to it (ie, by reporting a bug or something), I'm going to release epic5-0.2 on February 1st, which will be an official stable release which can be used to target scripts against.
