The switch to 9.10 is on the horizon. The move to 64-bit is also on the horizon, but is more daunting/more work than the 9.10 switch. I gave the flow control tweak a whirl and didn't see any changes, but I'll see if moving to 9.10 doesn't help as well. It's just a very weird, very specific slowness. Almost every other aspect of the client is speedy, the only slow bits are select drop downs in Firefox. Anyway, thanks for the speedy response. I'll post back with an update in a couple of days once I've had a chance to move to 9.10.
