Never tried Ubuntu myself, but Kororaa (~gentoo++) was a pretty straight
forward install on the first generation MBP - comes with all the wobbly
windows etc. However, the second gen MBP (C2D) was a totally different
story. So it is quite hard to tell: either Apple has listened and
compensated for all the oddities of the C2D (nvidia rather then ati
seems like a good step IMHO), or the have not bothered and/or added even
more oddities... I wouldn't bet in either direction, but IMHO, properly
working keyboard during grub/lilo would be a great improvement and so
would fully working ACPI. (I'm now assuming nvidia will rock over ati.)
