hi Steve. as Ortwin said, it's highly recommended to keep a MacOS X
installed. the default installation takes up a ridiculous amount of disk
space (~18GB). if you pop the MacOS X install CD into your box and reboot
into the installer, i suggest you do a custom install and make sure that
things like iMovie + themes, iDVD + themes, printer drivers, extra
languages, extra fonts, etc are not installed. i stripped my MacOS X install
down from 18GB to 4.5GB.
