Thanks to everybody for the suggestions! What I did after all was to manually download and install the necessary armel packages to the device from the SDK repository (i.e. http://repository.maemo.org/pool/maemo5.0/free/q/qt4-x11/), as this seemed the easiest way. (Maybe I could have added the SDK repository to the device and installed the packages via apt-get; I was not quite sure though, that it would not accidentally install other packages and break the system.)
