Hi,

ok, here's a short report of FOSS4G, as far as Mapbuilder is concerned.

Mike did a very good lab on what Mapbuilder is all about and how to
create a small custom application. I contributed a few words about
OpenLayers integration.

After the lab, we got some positive feedback on Mapbuilder. Of
course, there was the question about the differences between
Mapbuilder and the fresh and new Cartoweb4 and Fusion. And this is,
of course, where our MVC approach with the xsl-based widget rendering
comes in.

Also very important for the project was the code sprint on Friday.
Mike did a great job in integrating projection transformations into
OpenLayers, so we can soon remove a lot of code from Mapbuilder.

Pierre Giraud of Camptocamp and I finished the work on my SLD parser.
This supports rule-based SLD rendering.

My overall experience at the FOSS4G conference was a very good one,
and I wish to thank everyone there, especially the other OpenLayers
devs, for the great time cooperation.

Regards,
Andreas.
