According to the fMSX site:
http://fms.komkon.org/fMSX/
Be aware that the MSX-Player "official MSX emulator" released by
ASCII some time ago is based on the fMSX source code. Although
ASCII officials have written me about licensing my code long
time ago and repeatedly assured me that they intend to do so,
they have never actually licensed the code. At the moment,
MSX-Player is an unauthorized ripoff of my work that is used to
gain publicity if not money. Please, consider buying and using
the real fMSX-Windows. It is more up-to-date and much faster as
it is compiled into the native 80x86 code.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but by buying MSX-Player you are
supporting theft. AFAIK, if you are aware something is stolen, buying it
is illegal under Dutch law.
Also note that this shows the power of the GPL. Marat probably does not
have the financial needs to sue ASCII. The free software foundation would
always support you with this.
