Yes it was! I'm trying to get BCM 2007 working on a central server here,
after we had to ditch centralized database with v2.0 since once the DB grew
to a certain size, it would cause sqlservr to jam to 100% cpu frequently,
causing everybody's outlook who was connected to crash. I'm hoping it's a
little more stable now.

...anymore. BCM used to be hideously buggy.

MS-CRM has come a long way. But it's still a resource hog. Especially for a
small number of users.

That being said - Business Contact Manager for Outlook, which used to be
single user, can now handle several users. It doesn't suck.

An engineer I worked with at my previous job (and whose opinion I respect)
and supports SugarCRM, and he loves it.

I haven't worked with anything except MSCRM, and personally I'd avoid it.
though it may have come a long way in the last few years.

Sugar is the clear choice for opensource. Salesforce is superb and fairly
reasonable.

Autotask has just released a stunning value package for their GO! service at
$29 per month per user.

Connectwise is insanely expensive and flakey around the edge but it's very
powerful.

Anyone tried vTiger or SugarCRM? The costs of our current CRM is killing
us. We have very basic requirements, and about 6 users.

Any other CRM favorites out there? Also looking into Cloud based
products...
