>Mark: I went to the archives of this discussion list

>We need the FAQs, IMSNHO.

Alain: It will undoubtedly be a valuable contribution
to our collaboration. On behalf of FreeCard, thank
you.

>Mark: But, the archives are NOT so valuable
>without SUMMARY postings.

Alain: In my opinion, the ideal place for summarizing
where we are at (and such) would be our web-site.
Accessible to everyone, even non-members. Better
interface (multimedia) than e-mail (plain-text). No
redundant (summary) posts to the List.

>Mark: As we talk on a topic area, someone, hopefully
>the thread's opening poster, need to take it upon
>him/herself to create a "SUMMARY" posting after all
>the comments pour in.

Alain: This would indeed be wonderful.

>Mark: Streamlined summary posts will help build our
>knowledge base. And, as they are posted here, they
>might get further refinement.

Alain: Either way is OK with me. People could post
further refinements and comments on any summarized
aspect of our collaboration. It is not critical
whether these summaries are e-mailed, or web-paged, or
both.

>Mark: PLEASE: let's post summary posts to this list
>on all topics of merit.

Alain: Good suggestion.

>Mark: The summary posting habit was part of
>the internet culture years ago.

Alain: I was not aware of that bit of Web-lore.

>Mark: PS: More info to come from me in the future
>-- but I'm not ready yet for prime time.....

Alain: I know the feeling. Even in my 'free' time, I
am running around like crazy, never quite getting as
much done as I would like.
