It doesn't force Solaris to use anything. A BusyBox build on OpenSolaris could use bash but that has no relationship what so ever to the Solaris product that Sun produces.

This is a perfect example of where the distinction between Solaris and OpenSolaris is critically important. Similarly any needs of an OpenSolaris BusyBox doesn't impact what ever shells Nextena, ShilliX, marTux or Belenix choose to ship with or make the default.
