Hello All!

"Here we go again!"
I'm still working on the DS2423 problem, since my last post I have
blown up my WRT54GL (never wire breadboard live), moved house, bought
a new WRT54GL and found a floating earth problem when I had wired up
the new WRT54GL (always check for dry joints) hence
the delay in replying to the suggestions.

A quick review:
I have a WRT54G running OpenWRT and a homemade circuit using a DS2480B.
I was having problems with "Data Error"s when querying the counters on
a DS2423 chip. The same chip responds fine to other requests, e.g
type.

My short 1wire network uses CAT5, non-shielded using a bus topology. I
have filters on my hardware as documented in the DS2480B datasheet and
have tried the filters in the Application note. (they are the same but
the Capacitor is 10 times bigger on the ap note)

I had thermometers on my bus (they worked fine). I have now removed
everything apart from the DS2423.

I'm using 2.6p6-2 on the WRT54G. My other box does not run linux.

Taking into account all of the above, can anyone suggest what else
might be causing this problem?

I'd like to try changing the timing options on my DS2480B, but
regardless of how I try to do it (echo or owwrite) the values do not
change - has anyone seen behaviour like this before?

Also can anyone suggest how to output debug from owserver to a log file?

Many Thanks,

David
