If you can handle the cost, it can be an excellent strategy to purchase one "in-between" focal length in place of two. I was going nuts choosing between my Zenitar 20/2.5K and my Pentax SMC 24/2.8K. I sold both when I found a Carl Zeiss Jena 20/2.8K that's more like 22mm. (The Jena is actually an M42 screwmount to which someone has permanently fitted a K mount. It has the Auto/Manual switch and the view grows dim when you stop down in Manual.)
