At my wife's practice they've gone to a paperless office, which made 
filing x-rays a pain in the butt.  So now they slap 'em on a light 
table and shoot 'em with a digital camera that's had exposure and focus 
locked in.  Much faster and easier (and less expensive) than trying to 
scan a great big x-ray.
