That's really bad news Rob. I hope they find the perps and throw the book at them. Make sure you get good advice about securing everything against a 2nd try - they often seem to come back for another bite. When my place was done over almost 10 years ago to the day they tried a few weeks later to break into my neighbours house, but were caught and banged up for a few months. The worst aspect of it is that it can undermine your confidence. I occcasionally find myself woken at night by dreams that I've gone out leaving the front door open - something I never used to dream about before. Still, at least that has replaced the dream in which the house falls down as a result of my negligence and the insurance won't pay out...!
