Not so. Not that it matters much to most people, but USB to 9-pin
serial and USB to Centronics (parallel printer) interface dongles are
widely available cheap -- I have one of each at least. If you plug
that into your Mac and hook it up to your ancient printer, the
built-in Ghostscript drivers in Mac OS X will get you printing in
moments.
