At least you know where the darn thing is. The spare batteries have me
mystified.

I keep all of my camera gear in one place. I *had* three spare D-LI90 batteries (shared between K-3 & K-1). On the spur of them moment, I decided it might be a good idea to check the charge on them & put them on the charger just in case. When I got them out of the camera bag, there was only one D-LI90.

WTF??? Where could I have put the other two?

They're not in the bag for the K10D & K20D. I've been through all the rest of my gear (including the bags for my film cameras) and they're not anywhere I've thought to look.

They're also not in a number of places where I don't keep camera gear, but if I don't look there I can't be sure I didn't hide them away there anyway.

One other thing I've figured out; you can't completely trust the blinking green LED on the charger.

I have battery grips on all of my DSLRs and I took them off the K-1 & K-3 to check the internal batteries. The K-3 wouldn't turn on without the grip installed. That battery from the K-3 gave the same blinking LED as the new battery that I'm thinking I'm going to have to go back & swap out.

Because I had my hands full multi-tasking I had to leave it in place and keep an eye on it, hoping the magic smoke wouldn't leak out of the charger. After a minute or so the LED turned a solid green and it appears to be charging normally.

Now I'm not sure what to do about the battery I just bought that gave me the blinking LED?

There are some days I feel like my sole purpose in life is to see how many stupid mistakes I can make at one time.

I feel for you. I don't have battery problems but I do have a 18-250 Pentax lens that has a lock on the lens. Well it will decide to get locked in the 18 and I can not expand it out and other times it works as it should. I got it used from KEH and of course it decided to act up after their 6 month warranty ran out. I was curious to know how much they would charge to fix it and it was going to be more than I paid for the lens. Needless to say I haven't bought anything from them again because of my experience with this lens.  I just took it out of my camera bag to see if it is working and at the moment it is working but I can't trust it to work when I need it to work.

Like you it has been a couple of weekends since I have gotten out with my camera. It won't be this weekend because of rain with a slight chance of snow.
