The flowers came from a grocery store. I expect they were force grown in a greenhouse somewhere. I love the effect that the soft rear illumination gives them. I think that combined with the plain grey background gives it the feel you are seeing. When I dropped in the background I took away the apparent source of illumination behind the flowers.
It's a cool effect.
